New Orleans: Sample Itinerary
 

DAY 1
Arrive in New Orleans and learn the history of the French Quarter. Visit the Farmers Market before enjoying the best kept secret in New Orleans, the Museé Conti Historical Wax Museum. Have dinner at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company before checking into your hotel.

DAY 2
After breakfast in your hotel, touch a baby shark at the Aquarium of the America's before starring in your very own Mardi Gras-style parade. Explore the site of the Battle of New Orleans during your riverboat dinner cruise on the Mighty Mississippi.

DAY 3
The city's contributions to music will take center-stage today at the Jazz and Mint Museum. After lunch in the French Market your group will attend a private jazz concert at Preservation Hall with its legendary performers. Learn a little Cajun dancing before dinner at Michaul's Cajun Restaurant.

 

DAY 4
Explore the beauty and mystery of the swamp during your private swamp cruise. Celebrate the sights and sounds of all the local cultures at the Riverwalk where your students can shop for beignets, po-boys and bayou bangles. Learn of the struggles endured by America's greatest generation at the National D-Day Museum.

DAY 5
Your youth group will witness the struggles and triumph of the Deep South during the area's best plantation tour. Your group will depart for home with a greater understanding of American music, a love of gumbo and a pocketful of beads.
