New Orleans:  Great Food, Better Music                                                                                               View Sample Itinerary

Touring the Big Easy offers youth groups a destination with an unparalleled music legacy. Local culture features authentic gumbo, exotic homes and a little voodoo mixed with the sounds of zydeco, jazz, and swamp pop making New Orleans one of America's greatest vacation destinations.

In New Orleans your students can take an educational and exciting swamp cruise, enjoy the finest cuisine in the world and be entertained by local jazz legends at a private concert and clinic. Over twenty-five museums documenting everything from the history of dollhouses to D-Day provide enough options to keep any youth group smiling all the way home.

No trip to New Orleans is complete until your group has starred in its very own Mardi Gras-style parade. No floats, no politicians and no horses. Just you and your students dancing, performing and throwing beads through the French Quarter behind your police escort in a parade held specifically in your group's honor. Your band can also learn how to play some local music at the Cajun Music Concert and Workshop.

It takes experience and careful planning to take a youth group to New Orleans and Grueninger Music Tours has five decades worth. Directors of the finest youth music programs in the country have trusted Grueninger Music Tours to lead their groups to destinations across the globe and we've even helped pay for some of it.

GMT was one of the first companies to provide significant fundraising assistance to our youth groups. One of our groups raised $65,000 with our fundraiser - reducing the cost of the tour by $250 per student.
